इस भर्ती में उम्मीदवारों के लिए अलग-अलग शैक्षणिक योग्यताएं निर्धारित की गई हैं। Atmospheric Sciences पद के लिए संबंधित विषय में Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology आवश्यक है, जबकि General Meteorology के लिए Mathematics, Physics या Atmospheric Science में Master’s Degree मांगी गई है। वहीं Instrumentation पद के लिए Electronics, Mechanical, IT, Electrical या Computer Science जैसे विषयों में Engineering Degree आवश्यक है। अच्छी बात यह है कि इन पदों के लिए किसी अनिवार्य अनुभव की जरूरत नहीं रखी गई है।

सैलरी की बात करें तो चयनित उम्मीदवारों को 7वें वेतन आयोग के अनुसार Level-10 Pay Matrix के तहत आकर्षक वेतन मिलेगा, जिसकी शुरुआती बेसिक पे ₹56,100 प्रति माह से शुरू होती है। यह भर्ती Permanent Group-A Gazetted पोस्ट के लिए है, इसलिए इसमें करियर ग्रोथ और सरकारी सुविधाएं भी मिलेंगी।
